Ontario Paramedic Missing After B.C. Music Festival

Authorities are seeking information regarding the disappearance of Kayla Boisvert, a 28-year-old paramedic from Trenton, Ontario. Boisvert was attending the Shambhala Music Festival, an electronic music event held near Salmo, British Columbia.

She was reportedly last seen at the festival grounds in the early morning hours of July 27. Her family has stated that it is uncharacteristic for her to be out of contact for extended periods, especially during events she frequently attends.

Her twin sister reported receiving two calls from Boisvert shortly after she was last seen. Attempts to return these calls reportedly led directly to voicemail. Following the disappearance, the family began checking social media and reaching out to contacts attending the festival.

The Shambhala Music Festival, one of Canada's largest outdoor electronic music gatherings, takes place on farmland near the Salmo River. The festival organizers have stated they are cooperating with the RCMP and public safety officials in their efforts to locate Boisvert.

Boisvert is described by her family as a strong individual, a paramedic, and an academic. Her family and friends are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the search.
